The District of Columbia does not have any general provisions governing meal and rest periods, but there are rest period requirements for minors employed in the theatrical industry.
Breastfeeding. A woman may breastfeed in any location where she has the right to be with her child, public or private. The law requires employers to provide reasonable daily unpaid break time, and a sanitary location for mothers who are breastfeeding to express breast milk for their children.
